The Legend of Iza

“The Legend of Iza” explores what it really means to be a woman in today’s police force.  On her first day, Iza discovers what it really means to be a cop.  Sometimes doing the right thing isn’t always as easy as you thought.

Written and Directed by Hungarian cinema veteran Mihaly Szabados.

Having seen a dearth of strong roles for women, Szabados feels that we need to see more stories of strong women, especially in positions of power.  This short film explores morally grey areas on today’s police force and shows the difficulties women in what has traditionally been a man’s world.

The advancement of women is predicated on seeing strong role models.  By seeing strong women in film, young women will believe that they too can be strong and women as a whole will become stronger.
